Barry brings in-depth sales, marketing and general management experience to Newave's leadership team. He is a founder of Newave® and currently serves as Chief Operating Oﬃcer. Previously Barry was with the Bristol-Myers Squibb serving as President for their largest international business regions of Latin American, Canada, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Earlier Barry also held executive management positions with several divisions of Johnson and Johnson. Barry has lived internationally for over ten years and has an established a track record of sales and proﬁt growth coupled with strong managerial development. Barry is a Member of Marquis’ Who's Who in America and he holds a BS in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and served as a US Navy ﬁghter pilot and ﬂight instructor after graduation.

The Wave Antenna:
The Wave is totally unique being designed speciﬁcally for item-level RFID. Wave emits ﬁve beams to read RFID tags in any orientation within a conﬁned and desired read zone of 2 to 10 cubic feet, this zone is simply controlled by the reader power setting. Commonly used “patch” antennas have only one main beam like a ﬂashlight missing tags in close proximity and seeing unwanted tags up to 30 feet away. Wave beams create a read cylinder, like a ﬂorescent light, along the full length of the antenna that does not change as the reader power controls the width of the diameter of the cylinder. Wave reads 99%+ of tags in the desired zone and minimal tags outside the zone. SS is a no “RFID item tags required”, real-time solution to manage retail shelf inventory. RFID tags are placed on product pushers, when the pusher is full the pusher spring covers the tags which are not visible until products are removed. When product is removed the Wave sees the tags, the SS software calculates the position of the pusher paddle and therefore the number of units remaining. SS software sends instant low stock or a theft alert to any authorized smart device. Forensic business analysis is improved as SS also provides granular unit data at any desired timeframe, to the second if needed. SS software can connect to any ERP system and/or provide data reports at any frequency. SS has been proven in the real-world to reduce out of stock (OOS) in excess of 70% one month after in-store training. Newave smartInventory Management System™ (SIMS):
SIMS is also an RFID no item tags required system to track inventory of small, low cost, diﬃcult to tag but essential items. This Kanban-like system places tags at either end of a bin and divides the bin in two, primary and secondary stock. When primary stock is depleted the bin is turned around accessing secondary inventory, the tag position change is read by Wave triggering SIMS' software to alert personnel and/or automatically order replenishment. Newave’s Latest Innovation is Coming Soon!
Newave’s latest innovation is currently in a late stage of development. This patented system is light, wireless, highly mobile and will be capable of accurately tracking RFID tagged inventory at close range. It will have the ability to alert the user to misplaced or temporarily lost items. The user will be hands-free, greatly improving productivity and integrated software will communicate directly to both an in-facility network as well as the internet, either individually or simultaneously.
